Taking in the radically different north and south sides of the High Atlas mountains, the volcanic J'bel Sirwa, the Draa Valley and the dunes of the desert, this two-week southern highlights tour is a Moroccan classic and, to our knowledge, the only one of its kind. With eleven days of off-road biking along some of the most dramatic and beautiful pistes in Morocco , this is a trip recommended for those who want to spend the maximum amount of time in the saddle. Although there is generally a slight downhill bias to the trip, there are some difficult climbs for riders who want to test their mettle against the giants of the Atlas. It's a tour of contrast and variety from the constantly changing landscape to our eclectic mix of overnight stays – from wilderness camp sites to gites, and from family houses to plush maison d'hotes guest houses. Above all it's a real “journey” as we make use of the country's remarkable network of jeep tracks to take us from the cool high mountains to the fringes of the burning hot Sahara desert.
