You start the day with a long bus ride to Asni, to the west of Mount Toubkal (on the road to Taroudannt). Asni is a small roadside village with cafés that attracts many visitors. Then walk on the Kik plateau which is mainly open farmland growing wheat. Visit a stone courtyard house for mint tea. Sat in the large courtyard with its partly whitewashed stone walls. The courtyard is surrounded by several rooms - a bread oven, a kitchen and bedrooms .
From the plateau there are very fine views of Mount Toubkal (over 4000 m ) and of the High Atlas. There was a scattering of wild flowers including bergamot, iris and poppies. Skylarks were overhead.
This was a shortest walk followed by the bus ride back. On your return to the Auberg.
